“Chef’s Lounge” at The Big Eat

Restaurant Solutions is a SaaS company that manages financials for over 1,200 restaurants nationwide. Headquartered in Littleton, most of their clients are Denver Restaurants. The Big Eat is an event that brings together all the best independent restaurants to showcase their menus. Restaurant Solutions had taken part in the event the year before with a booth but when I came on board we decided this was an event to invest more in. Chefs are busy, work long hours and love to be wine and dined. They also love to drink. My idea was to create a Chef’s Lounge–a place for the chefs working at the event to come hang out when they had a moment. It was the perfect way to interact with our target market while appealing to their desires. They loved it and the event coordinators wanted it back the following year.

“Pit Stop” at the Peach Festival

Community Auto’s first booth at the Peach Festival. We called it “The Pit Stop” and ourselves, “The MechaniGals”; aligning well with the new brand. The booth, while only 10×10, was interactive and included three different ways to get involved: beat a tech’s time removing the valve cover to win $100, create your own “bee car care aware” keychain, and kids roll the dice to win your mom an oil change. It was great fun and gave us the opportunity to interact with our customer base as well as collect information on our target market.

“Summit” by ASA Colorado

The Automotive Service Association of Colorado’s largest event of the year, the Summit, brings together hundreds of automotive service professionals, including automotive repair and collision shops, automotive training professionals and parts suppliers such as NAPA and Carquest, for a day of training, expo and networking. Summit 2017 included a rebranding effort and was the largest and most successful Summit thus far. I played a critical role in marketing communications including the pre and post event email campaign, social media promotions, event surveys and class materials, and the event registration website. The event was held at Lincoln College of Technology, one of Colorado’s largest automotive schools.
